I took this photo today of Gosford Waterfront on the Central Coast of New South Wales. It's well worth a visit. Beautiful isn't it?

Lorraine: It was my paternal grandparents love story that started my family history research many years ago. My grandfather Reginald (Reg) was born in Albury, New South Wales, Australia in 1895, whilst my grandmother Louisa (Maggie) was born in Pimlico, London, England in 1896. Reg had signed up in the Australian Army (AIF) in 1915, to (in his words) "go on his great adventure, to see the world". Thanks to my family history research I have found much more about my grandparents' lives, both before they met and married in London in 1917 and after they returned to Australia. Reg returned to Sydney in February 1919 and Maggie arrived in April 1919. Through their nearly sixty years of marriage, no matter what ups and downs life threw at them; they were always there for each other, their love never wavering. Over the years, my research has brought up many unexpected stories, twists and turns. I hope to share many of them, from all sides of my family with you and welcome any stories or photos that you may wish to share with me. Now there is another tool: DNA, which has made a huge impact world wide, to help us in our family history research.
